  1.       Making a strong first impression. First impressions are everything! Clean up your landscaping, blow off your roof, power wash pathways, or even painting your front door are all examples that if not done can leave a bad first impression – don’t let it be you.
  2.       De-clutter & clean. Decluttering and thoroughly cleaning every room gives buyers a good feeling when walking around and will make your house feel like a home. Think about where you are moving and what you might and might not have room for. It’s easiest to get rid of unwanted items before putting your property to the market as it helps the move and appeals to buyers.
  3.       Neutralize & De-personalize. Get rid of personal items and photos as well as potentially re-paint rooms to neutral colours if your timeline allows. Giving buyers a blank canvas to visualize their new space helps!
  4.       Make necessary repairs . Re-caulk bathrooms, fix leaky faucets, replace a malfunctioning appliance are all examples that can be done relatively easily and won’t be noticed by buyers so they feel the home is well-cared for
  5.  Brighten it up. Make sure all burnt out light bulbs are changed, open blinds/curtains and consider adding table or floor lamps if needed.
